How Parlay Odds Are Calculated
A parlay multiplies the decimal odds of every leg. Three legs at 1.91 x 1.91 x 2.50 = 9.12 decimal — a $50 stake returns $456.19. Every leg must win; one loss settles the whole ticket at zero.
Bookmakers love parlays because the margin compounds: the more legs, the further the payout drifts below fair value. Treat parlays as entertainment with small stakes, and keep serious bankroll on straight bets.
Same Game Parlays (SGPs)
SGPs combine correlated markets from one match — quarterback passing yards plus receiver receptions, for example. Because outcomes are correlated, books apply special pricing models that reduce payouts below a simple multiplication. Our calculator shows uncorrelated parlay math; expect an SGP to pay slightly less than the equivalent multi-game ticket.
